Knowsley Moving Forward Together's first open day!

Knowsley Moving Forward Together hosted its first service event on Friday 11th March.

The event was open to service users and gave them the opportunity to meet the local staff team, socialise with others, and hear from other local organisations about their support services.

The team was happy to welcome 16 service users and a range of organisations from across Knowsley including Healthwatch Knowsley, Think Wellbeing, Care Merseyside & FACES.

The event received plenty of positive feedback and the team are looking forward to running events every quarter. The team hope that these events will ensure service users feel involved and can stay informed about the local support on offer.

International Women’s Day – Knowsley's Team Manager, Shanice, attends local Women in Business event

"On Thursday 10th March, I had the opportunity to attend the Knowsley Women in Business afternoon tea and listen to some brilliant women who were able to follow the theme for this year's international women’s day #breakthebias.

It was inspiring to hear how each of the women had progressed in their careers. As a woman of colour, and having been recently given the opportunity of being Team Manager at Knowsley MFT, it made me think about the younger generation and how powerful it is to hear other women's experiences. There is work that needs to be done to make progress, but it is possible!

The event took place at Knowsley Hall which is a beautiful venue and I was welcomed with some lovely refreshments, listening to these amazing women, and then indulging in afternoon tea.

What was equally enjoyable was having the opportunity to network with other women from so many different organisations, especially after the last few years when a lot of the networking has been online".
