Just over a year ago, our Learning & Development team launched the ‘Client Zone,’ an area on our e-learning platform LearningPool which anyone who is supported by MHM can use to gain additional knowledge and skills to help them move forward. MHM are one of the only mental health charities who give clients access to this kind of e-learning to supplement the face-to-face support we provide.

There are 36 modules in the Client Zone covering a huge range of topics across health and safety (e.g. manual handling, food safety awareness), employment (e.g. meeting skills, reasonable adjustments) and personal development (e.g. keeping yourself safe online, anger management). Since the Client Zone launched in June last year 11 new modules have been added as the Learning & Development team have sought to increase the level of support we provide through online training; newer module topics include smoking awareness, fuel poverty and personal resilience.

Since it launched, more than 230 modules have been completed in total. Our most popular modules are Safeguarding for Volunteers (very popular with people being supported by our Employment services who are seeking voluntary work), Introduction to Health and Safety, Keeping Yourself Safe Online, and Stress Awareness. We’re really pleased to be able to offer these additional resources, and will be adding more in the coming months!

Anyone who is currently being supported by MHM’s services can use the Client Zone – to receive your log-in and access the modules, just speak to your Recovery Worker.
