The East Berkshire Safe Haven team was delighted to be visited by Sean Duggan, Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network last Thursday.

Sean shared his thoughts in his latest blog post:

I visited the Safe Haven run by Mental Health Matters this week and was very impressed with what I saw - a real live example of partnership working between Frimley ICS, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Mental Health Matters providing an out-of-hours crisis service in the high street of Slough.

I was particularly impressed that a clinician from Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was on site at all times for advice and to assist with more complex cases and the routes for referring onto specialist secondary services. The workforce was a combination of staff from the voluntary sector, clinical staff, housing experts and the social determinants for mental health recovery.

We're incredibly proud of the East Berkshire Safe Haven and the life-changing support that it provides the community!
