Mental Health Matters have today responded to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s Spring Budget Statement for 2023/24.

Commenting on the Spring Budget, Chief Executive Jane Hughes said “The announcement of £10m for VCSEs who are tackling suicide prevention is very much welcome and will move mental health support in the right direction. Charities and community organisations are often crucial pillars of community support, and the additional funding of over £100m for those organisations will be essential to further these efforts.

We note the roll out of the digitisation of NHS Talking Therapies and await further details of these changes.”
