Who we are:

The Warrington Employment Support Service is part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies team at Talking Matters in Warrington. We are a team of five Employment Advisors and one Senior Employment Advisor working with clients to help them Find, Remain or Return to work.

What we do:

Our employment support service hope to empower you to find a route back to employment that works for you. We will work with you to help you reach your employment goals as we understand that having a mental health problem can make life difficult, which then impacts on your employment or ability to find work.

We offer a range of different support including group/workshop support and one-to-one sessions with your employment advisor. The workshops we currently offer include; job search skills, CV writing, interview skills, stress management and confidence building & assertiveness.

We work on the basis of helping clients either find work, return to work or remain in work. This will be through tailored support to each individual client and can include;

  • Help writing a CV
  • Creating an email address
  • Help with job application forms
  • Interview preparation
  • Support finding voluntary work and paid work vacancies
  • Help you build confidence, assertiveness and self-esteem
  • Help with managing stress at work
  • Supporting you to understand your rights under the Equality Act and reasonable adjustments
  • Help accessing training
  • Help organising your time and prioritising work loads

Who is the service for?

Talking Matters Warrington Employment Support service is available to anyone aged 16 or over who is currently accessing or waiting for psychological therapies at Talking Matters in Warrington.
