The impact of a visible disability varies widely. For some, it may involve the use of mobility aids or adapted equipment; for others, it may affect movement, coordination, or the way they communicate. Visible disabilities encompass a broad range of conditions, which may include physical impairments, long-term health conditions, mobility or neuromuscular disorders, limb differences, and other disabilities that can be seen or recognised externally.
