Rotherham Safe Space out and about at local festivals The Rotherham Safe Space team made the most of the recent sunshine by attending both the Greasbrough Festival and Ferham Festival earlier this month. With both events taking place on the same day, the team split up to make sure they could be part of each one. Throughout the day, they spoke to local people about the support Rotherham Safe Space offers, answered questions and raised awareness of how the service can help anyone experiencing emotional distress or a mental health crisis. Saira Ajaib, Team Manager, said: "It was wonderful to meet so many members of the community, have conversations about mental health and wellbeing, and let people know that support is available when they need it. Community events like these are a great reminder of the importance of bringing people together and making mental health support visible and accessible. The team also had the opportunity to welcome the Mayor of Rotherham, Haroon Rashid, to their stall at Greasbrough Festival. It was a pleasure to meet him, share more about the work of Rotherham Safe Space, and highlight how the service supports people across the borough. Manage Cookie Preferences
