The team recently joined the celebrations for the first anniversary of Empowering Men Initiative CIC. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak with local people about the support Rotherham Safe Space offers and to connect with other organisations making a positive difference across the borough.

Saira Ajaib, Team Manager, said: "It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the day, with craft stalls, entertainment, activities, refreshments and plenty of opportunities to come together as a community. Events like these play such an important role in reducing isolation, encouraging conversations around wellbeing, and reminding people that support is available."

The team also attended a Community Brunch hosted by Co-op and Steel City Consultancy, which brought together people from across the Rotherham community to tackle loneliness.

As part of the event, the Rotherham Safe Space team led a wellbeing activity, helping to encourage conversations about mental health and wellbeing. It was a valuable opportunity to support the Co-op's mental wellbeing priorities while building new connections with local residents and partner organisations.
